Boudoir Isn’t Just a Gift for Your S.O.—It’s a Gift for You Too!
I strongly believe boudoir shouldn’t be about creating a gift for someone else. I know most people think of boudoir as something women do to surprise a partner or loved one but it’s important to recognize that a boudoir session is first and foremost a gift for oneself and here’s 4 reasons why.
1.Boosts Self-Confidence: A boudoir session is an opportunity to celebrate your body and embrace your unique beauty. During a boudoir shoot, you’ll be pampered (hair and makeup), styled (extensive lingerie closet for all clients), and photographed in a way that showcases your best features. This experience can boost your self-confidence and help you see yourself in a new and positive light.
2. Embraces Self-Love: Boudoir photography is an opportunity to practice self-love and self-care. By taking the time to focus on yourself and your body, you’re giving yourself the gift of self-appreciation and acceptance. I know my clients are busy women with families and jobs. Self care should always be a priority but it’s usually the first thing that get sacrificed.
3. Creates Lasting Memories: I hate to say it but it’s possible your relationship won’t last. I would much prefer clients create an album for themselves that someone else may get to enjoy.
Preserving your beauty and sensuality at this time of your life and remembering your confidence, strength, and beauty for years to come is an amazing gift just for you! Plus I love when clients select images that they love not that they think someone else will (I can 100% guarantee they will love whatever you choose).
4. Empowers You: Stepping out of your comfort zone and being vulnerable in front of the camera is a powerful way take control of your body and your image. I know the experience has changed many women. I don’t know exactly what happens in the studio to create that feeling but I see it happen after every session.
Anyway, there’s so many other reasons women should do a boudoir session.
