Over the years my photography has changed a great deal. When I first started out I had no idea what I wanted to do, I was just thrilled people were willing to pay me to do something I loved to do anyway. I photographed families, graduates, babies, and dogs. I photographed events like weddings, engagements, and birthday parties. My story isn’t unlike other boudoir photographers, I took a few shots of a friend in my guest bedroom with just some window light and she looked incredible. She was thrilled with the results and I felt incredible being able to show her how beautiful she was, even if she didn’t feel that way herself. I know I’m not curing cancer or finding an answer to world hunger but in my small corner of the world I do make a difference in women’s lives and it’s absolutely why I love shooting boudoir. I offer a unique experience in the studio that allows women to take a break from their everyday hustle and bustle, to reconnect with themselves and better believe in their beauty. A boudoir shoot does have an impact on self image and can instill confidence in women. Boudoir photography can help drown out that nagging inner voice that erodes self confidence and causes us to struggle with body image issues. I want every woman to leave my studio feeling empowered with the confidence to go out and make her own bold changes in her life and the world.
